Emma’s Revolution played at Trinity Backstage on March 26, 2011

It’s been 5 years since Emma’s Revolution were here. It would be hard to imagine how these wonderful women could get deeper, wider, wittier or more powerful– or write even better songs, but they are and they have. They talk about what’s really important  and going on in this world, articulate it without judgement or cynicism and deliver the hard news  in the most palatable of ways. I was particularly moved by their song about the POV of young soldiers returning from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. And they wrote a gorgeous love song for two of their friends’ wedding, and it was so very lovely. Full spectrum, full throttle– I am so happy that Sandy and Pat are out there in the world speaking so beautifully for the underdog and drawing our attention to . Oh– and P.S.– their vocal harmonies were perfection.
